Mgr. Martin Helik

Martin Helik is a graduate of single-subject Psychology in Slovakia, which provided the foundation for further therapeutic and clinical education. He has completed the Slovak attestation in the field of clinical psychology. He is working on completing psychodynamic psychotherapeutic training and has finished the four-year experiential component.  

Martin Helik’s work experience consists of working with adults and adolescents in individual and group therapy. He worked in the field of addictology at an addictology clinic as well as in a community, where, among other things, he provided family counseling in the area of addiction and codependency. He has completed a basic course in relaxation–imagery therapy and a course in motivational interviewing. Martin Helik utilizes an approach that connects the past and the present; by delving beneath the surface to explore the unconscious, he seeks to bring lasting relief to his clients’ current lives. He believes in comprehensive and lasting solutions for mental health. 

Martin Helik currently provides therapeutic care in both individual and group settings. In addition, he regularly delivers lectures and training to students and staff on addiction and related areas. 

He provides consultations in English.
